The Weekend Project compresses the entire filmmaking journey into 48 hours, not as a gimmick, but as a creative provocation.
From Friday at 6:01 PM to Sunday at 5:59 PM, filmmakers enter a fully equipped production ecosystem built to move an idea from script to screen. Assemble your team. Find your locations. Shoot. Rewrite. Improvise. Edit. Make the impossible call at 3 AM. Keep going.
There is no waiting for the perfect conditions. No sprawling production calendar. No endless development cycle.
Just 48 hours to trust your instincts, collaborate fiercely, solve creatively and make something that wasn’t there when the clock began.
The clock starts on Friday.
By Sunday, there’s a film.
FREQUENTLY ASKED
WHO CAN APPLY?
The fellowship is open to independent filmmakers, directors and creators. Whether you’re a seasoned pro looking for a creative outlet or an emerging talent with a story you’re determined to tell, we want to hear from you.
WHAT ARE THE DELIVERABLES?
You are expected to deliver one finished film under 15 minutes by Sunday at 5:59 PM. The entire process, including post-production, must be completed within the 48-hour window. We provide the gear. You finish the film.
WHO OWNS THE RIGHTS?
You own your story. We share ownership of what we make together. You’re free to take the film to festivals and showcase it in your portfolio, while Stories by Nomads retains the rights to distribute, showcase and monetise it across The Weekend Project ecosystem and future binge content releases.
HOW IS THE FELLOW SELECTED?
Selection is based purely on the strength of the script and the feasibility of completing the production, including post-production, within 48 hours in Delhi-NCR. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. If selected, The Weekend Project will assign your production weekend based on the fellowship calendar.
